On Saturday 23rd August at 8.00 am all boats taking part in the Carib Great Race, which takes place every year from Trinidad to Tobago the sister island, will leave Port of Spain harbour for two to three hours to the Port of Scarborough. The event began in Trinidad with a Boat show and a parade, where the boats are trailed through Port of Spain on the 9th August. So the fan can interact with the crew and see their favourite boats up close.This prestigious events is open to foreign power boat owners as well.
The Carib Great race started 46 years ago by a group of seamen who decided, instead of trekking to Grenada for the Eastern weekend to see who could weathed the seas between
Trinidad & Tobago and be the first to reach Tobago. The original distance was 75 miles and began in front of the Trinidad & Tobago Yacht Club. After the race in Scarborough the fun begin with a beach party with live entertainment, this is a great way to spend a weekend in Tobago and not miss out on all the fun and the Great Race.
